On the western side, Sant Elm is as far as you can go before the mountains take over. A fishing village in years gone by, it now provides a happy enclave for escapees from Palma and mainland residents. Two sandy beaches and shallow entry to the sea make it a childrens paradise, while a pleasant collection of bars and restaurants cater for the adults. Between Sant Elm and Estellencs the north-western coastline is left to nature- Eleanora falcons, and wild goats, for example. Take to the sea or put on your walking boots to appreciate the splendour of the mountains. Port dAndratx has a pleasant little beach just outside the harbour, plus lots of access off the rocks. Beaches abound in CAMP DE MAR, PAGUERA, and other holiday resorts towards PALMA | ||||
